BOTOX ®
How does BOTOX® work?
BOTOX® works by relaxing the muscles under the skin that contract to create fine lines and wrinkles. Once your muscles are relaxed, the overlaying skin is smooth and unwrinkled.
How long does BOTOX® last?
Treatments last anywhere from 3 to 4 months, although clients with repeated treatments notice residual effects lasting up to 6 months.
Are there any side effects?
Typically there are no side effects. Some patients may experience nausea or bruising after treatment. In some cases a slight drooping of the eyelid can occur, however, this is associated with the injection site. Should this occur it is only temporary and will last a few weeks.
Is this a safe treatment?
Yes. BOTOX® has been approved by the FDA to treat ophthalmological and neurological conditions for over 10 years. It is now approved to treat and reverse the signs of aging and is becoming widely recognized as the preferred method of reducing wrinkles and fine lines in the face.
